Mother Teresa was an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary who lived from 1910 to 1997. She lived and worked for most of her life in India. In 1950 she founded the Missionaries of Charity, which is a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which provides free service to the poorest of the poor. Teresa received the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize.
